Chrome: porting del browser su Nokia N900

Gli sviluppatori hanno da poco completato il porting del browser Chrome di Google, verso il nuovissimo Nokia N900. Ovviamente non si tratta di una versione ufficiale del browser, nonostante ciò, sembrerebbe che funzioni molto bene.

Il porting si basa sulla versione Debian 32, prontamente adattate per la piattaforma Maemo del Nokia N900. Tutti i contenuti web vengono tranquillamente caricati, compresi quelli in Flash.

• This packages don’t work with app manager – you have to install them using dpkg in console
• Chromium should work with libxss from extras-devel repo or libxss from here
• Note: If you use extras-devel repo version you will have to use some –force when installing chromium )

Installing Through X-terminal in N900:

1. Download both files in the above link to root directory in Nokia N900 then
2. Type root then
3. type cd /home/user/MyDocs/ dpkg -i name-of-the-lib-file.deb

dpkg -i name-of-the-chromefile.deb
